The Work

     These original designs are painted in gouache using a process called  wash-off which creates a visual texture unique to each piece.​ For more information, and a brief slide show, visit my PROCESS page.

 

My Bio

      I earned a BA in education, with a minor in art from Mills College. I followed this with a BFA with honors in illustration from Art Center College of Design.  I live in upstate New York, where I work as an museum education director and free-lance illustrator. My students range from young to young at heart, and I encourage their creativity and finding a way to express themselves. I believe we learn from each other, and it can be enormously challenging and rewarding.

     Prints and originals of my work have been purchased by clients ranging from California, Washington, Texas, Illinois, New York and Virginia. The images shown here are blank cards on high quality paper and hand signed. They can be ordered on-line or found at Cat's Pajamas, in Ithaca, NY.
